Control Room CCTV Operator
Objective
Ensure the smooth and effective day-to-day running of the control room by monitoring surveillance systems, reporting incidents, and maintaining agreed service levels under the supervision of the Corporate Security Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems, including cameras, recording, and storage of footage.
- Maintain control room equipment (monitors, radios, telephones, and computers).
- Conduct continuous surveillance and ensure proper cataloging and retrieval of footage.
- Monitor alarm systems and ensure timely response to all alerts.
- Detect and report suspicious activities in line with standard operating procedures.
- Ensure security systems integrity and support prevention of unauthorized access/egress.
- Prepare daily system status and incident reports for management.
- Maintain proper incident logs and escalate issues promptly.
- Support security team response during incidents and emergencies.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
- Liaise with law enforcement when required for CCTV evidence.
Perform other duties assigned by the Security Supervisor or Manager.
