About the Internship
AppletLogic is looking for passionate and motivated Cyber Security Interns who are eager to build a career in cybersecurity. This internship offers hands-on training through real-world security projects, enabling interns to gain practical experience in protecting systems, identifying vulnerabilities, monitoring security events, and working with industry-standard cybersecurity tools under the guidance of experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security events.
- Assist in identifying and responding to security incidents.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and basic security audits.
- Support the implementation of security policies and security best practices.
- Monitor firewalls, antivirus solutions, and endpoint security tools.
- Assist in incident response and security investigations.
- Prepare security reports and technical documentation.
- Learn and work with industry-standard cybersecurity tools and frameworks.
- Participate in security awareness activities and training sessions.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of Cyber Security concepts.
- Understanding of Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN).
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Basic understanding of Firewalls, IDS/IPS, and Endpoint Security.
- Knowledge of Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
- Passion for learning cybersecurity technologies.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, Nessus, or Metasploit.
- Basic understanding of Cloud Security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Ethical Hacking concepts.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications or coursework are an added advantage.
Educational Qualification
- Pursuing or completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
