We are looking for a dynamic, proactive, and responsible Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer who can independently manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure, application security, deployments, monitoring, databases, and production support activities.
The ideal candidate should be technically strong, adaptable, and capable of taking complete ownership of assigned responsibilities. The role may also require direct interaction with clients and stakeholders to understand technical requirements, provide updates, troubleshoot issues, and communicate solutions effectively.
Required Skills
* Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure; experience with GCP will be an added advantage.
* Experience in managing cloud as well as on-premises IT infrastructure.
* Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, monitoring, and DevOps best practices.
* Proficiency in Linux/Unix administration, shell scripting, and Python scripting for automation and operational tasks.
* Good understanding of database administration and operations, including database setup, access management, backup, restoration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
* Understanding of infrastructure and application security, including access control, network security, vulnerability management, patching, and security best practices.
* Experience with backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, high availability, and business continuity solutions.
* Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
* Ability to understand infrastructure requirements and recommend solutions based on performance, scalability, security, availability, and cost considerations.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, application teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
A. Collaborate with application leads, development teams, and other stakeholders to design, provision, configure, and maintain infrastructure for various applications and environments.
B. Perform regular monitoring, health checks, maintenance, capacity planning, patching, and performance optimization of applications, servers, databases, and infrastructure components.
C. Design, implement, manage, and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes. Handle DevOps activities, release support, automation, and deployment troubleshooting.
D. Manage database-related operational activities, including database provisioning, user and access management, backup and restoration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and coordination with application teams.
E. Support infrastructure sizing and solution planning for pre-sales activities by understanding application requirements and recommending suitable architecture, resources, and estimated infrastructure costs.
F. Design and implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and failover solutions to ensure business continuity, data protection, and system reliability.
G. Troubleshoot production and infrastructure issues, perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA), implement permanent corrective actions, and continuously optimize infrastructure for performance, security, cost, scalability, and reliability.
H. Take end-to-end ownership of assigned tasks and infrastructure responsibilities, ensuring timely execution, proper documentation, regular follow-ups, and effective closure of issues.
I. Communicate directly with clients when required to understand requirements, discuss technical issues, provide progress updates, explain solutions, and coordinate infrastructure-related activities professionally.
J. Respond proactively to production incidents and critical infrastructure issues, coordinate with relevant teams, and ensure timely resolution with minimum business impact.
K. Maintain proper technical documentation, including infrastructure architecture, configurations, deployment procedures, backup and recovery processes, troubleshooting guides, and operational SOPs.
