About the Role
Vilasini Mechatronics Pvt. Ltd. is looking for Production Technicians / Cable Assembly Technicians to join our production team for manufacturing defence-grade cable assemblies, wire harnesses, electrical cords and interconnect assemblies.
The candidate will be responsible for carrying out production activities as per engineering drawings, work instructions, quality standards and customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing and assembly of wire harnesses, cable assemblies and electrical cords.
- Wire cutting, stripping, dressing and identification.
- Crimping of terminals, contacts and connectors using specified hand tools, applicators and crimping machines.
- Assembly of connectors including MIL-spec, circular, D-sub, RF and industrial connectors.
- Soldering and termination of wires wherever required.
- Heat-shrink sleeve installation and identification/marking.
- Cable routing, lacing, bundling and harness dressing.
- Reading and understanding engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs and assembly instructions.
- Use of measuring instruments such as multimeter, continuity tester, crimp height gauge and go/no-go gauges.
- Carrying out visual and dimensional inspection of assemblies.
- Performing continuity, insulation and other electrical tests as per work instructions.
- Maintaining production records, inspection reports and traceability documents.
- Following ESD, safety, cleanliness and workmanship requirements applicable to defence electronics manufacturing.
- Identifying production defects and reporting them to the Production/Quality Engineer.
- Maintaining proper housekeeping and care of production tools and equipment.
- Meeting daily production targets without compromising quality.
Preferred Skills
Candidates with experience in any of the following will be preferred:
- Cable harness assembly
- Defence cable assembly
- Aerospace/aviation wiring
- Electrical panel wiring
- Connector assembly
- Crimping and termination
- Soldering
- RF cable assembly
- MIL-spec connector assembly
- Wire stripping and cutting
- Heat-shrink and cable dressing
- Reading engineering drawings
Educational Qualification
ITI / Diploma / 12th / 10th pass candidates with relevant practical experience may apply.
ITI candidates from Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Wireman or related trades will be preferred.
Fresh ITI candidates can also apply if they have good technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
Experience
- Freshers: Can be considered for trainee positions.
- 1–3 years: Preferred for Production Technician roles.
- Candidates with experience in defence, aerospace, railway, automotive, electronics or cable-harness manufacturing will be given preference.
Important Personal Skills
- Good hand skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work with small wires, terminals and connectors.
- Ability to follow drawings and written instructions.
- Quality-conscious and disciplined approach.
- Willingness to learn specialised defence cable assembly processes.
- Ability to work as part of a production team.
- Good attendance and punctuality.
Working Environment
The selected candidates will work in a professional manufacturing environment involved in the production of high-reliability cable assemblies and harnesses for defence and industrial applications.
The role involves working with specialised tools and equipment and following defined production and quality procedures.
Salary
Salary: ₹12,000 – ₹25,000 per month, depending on qualification, skill and experience.
Trainee/Fresher salary: As per skill level and company policy.
Experienced candidates with specialised cable-harness, connector or defence assembly experience may be offered a higher package.

Training will be provided on specialised crimping tools, connectors, cable assembly processes, inspection methods and defence-quality workmanship requirements.
