We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Logistics Manager with 2–4 years of experience, preferably in roofing sheets, steel building materials, or the manufacturing industry. The candidate will be responsible for managing transportation, dispatches, delivery schedules, fleet coordination, and logistics operations while ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily dispatch and delivery operations.
- Coordinate transportation of roofing sheets, steel products, raw materials, and finished goods.
- Arrange vehicles and coordinate with transporters, drivers, and logistics vendors.
- Ensure on-time delivery to customers, dealers, project sites, and distributors.
- Prepare and monitor delivery schedules based on customer requirements.
- Coordinate with Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Accounts teams for smooth dispatch operations.
- Track vehicles and shipments and provide regular delivery updates.
- Monitor transportation costs and identify opportunities to reduce logistics expenses.
- Negotiate freight rates and maintain good relationships with transporters.
- Ensure proper loading, unloading, and handling of materials to minimize damage.
- Verify dispatch documents, invoices, delivery challans, e-way bills, and other required documents.
- Monitor vehicle utilization, turnaround time, freight costs, and delivery performance.
- Handle delivery delays, transit issues, shortages, damages, and customer complaints.
- Maintain records of dispatches, transporter details, freight expenses, and delivery status.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable transportation regulations.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly logistics/MIS reports for management.
Candidate Requirements
- Graduate in any discipline; qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations will be an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience in logistics, preferably in:
- Roofing Sheets
- Steel Building Materials
- Manufacturing
- Construction Materials
- Metal/Steel Industry
- Strong knowledge of transportation and dispatch operations.
- Experience in coordinating with transporters and drivers.
- Good negotiation and vendor-management skills.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel and logistics reporting.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deliveries simultaneously.
- Knowledge of GST, e-way bills, delivery documentation, and basic logistics compliance will be preferred.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
