Job Title: Navcom Service Engineer – Navigation & Communication Equipment

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer with hands-on experience in marine navigation and communication systems. This role involves installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and survey assistance for shipborne equipment while ensuring compliance with IMO (International Maritime Organization) and Class regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair marine navigation & communication systems onboard vessels.
- Plan and execute surveys, health checks, and maintenance of integrated systems.
- Coordinate with vessel superintendents/managers to complete repairs within time and budget.
- Ensure compliance with IMO, SOLAS, ISM, and Class regulations during all services.
- Prepare detailed service and inspection reports and maintain records.
- Liaise with OEMs, surveyors, and ship operators for seamless service.
- Monitor vessel compliance with flag and class requirements for navigation systems.
Systems Worked On:
- GMDSS Equipment (VHF, MF/HF, Inmarsat, EPIRB)
- Navigation Systems (Radar, Gyrocompass, Magnetic Compass, Autopilot, AIS, Speed Log)
- Safety Systems (SART, SSAS)
Qualifiations:
- Diploma/Degree in Marine Electronics or Communication Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in servicing marine navigation/communication equipment.
- Certifications in GOC, GMDSS, Radar, or OEM systems are preferred.
