Job Summary:
The lab technician is responsible for performing laboratory tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, collecting and processing samples, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of results while adhering to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, label, and process patient specimens accurately.
- Perform routine laboratory tests as per established procedures.
- Operate, maintain, and calibrate laboratory equipment.
- Record and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of samples and reagents.
- Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
- Maintain laboratory records and documentation.
- Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and inform the concerned authority regarding shortages.
- Assist in internal and external quality control activities.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals regarding laboratory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) or equivalent qualification.
- Valid registration/license as applicable.
- Relevant laboratory experience preferred.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
