Job Title: Hospital Manager

Job Purpose
The Hospital Manager will be responsible for overall operational excellence, financial performance, patient inflow growth, and brand development of the hospital. The role requires a seasoned professional with prior hospital management experience, strong strategic thinking, and the ability to drive profitability while maintaining quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hospital Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day hospital operations, including OPD, IPD, diagnostics, pharmacy, housekeeping, security, and support services
- Ensure smooth coordination between medical, nursing, administrative, and support teams
- Develop and implement SOPs to improve operational efficiency and patient experience
- Monitor hospital KPIs such as bed occupancy, TAT, patient wait time, and discharge process
2. Financial Management & Profitability
- Prepare and manage hospital budgets, cost controls, and expense optimisation
- Monitor revenue streams (OPD, IPD, diagnostics, procedures, pharmacy)
- Identify revenue leakages and implement corrective measures
- Improve bed occupancy rate and average revenue per patient
- Ensure timely billing, collections, and coordination with the accounts team
3. Business Development & Patient Inflow Growth
- Develop and execute strategies to increase OPD and IPD footfall
- Build referral networks with doctors, clinics, diagnostic centres, and corporates
- Establish tie-ups with TPAs, insurance companies, and government health schemes
- Plan health camps, community outreach programs, and CSR medical activities
- Strengthen ambulance and emergency referral systems
4. Marketing & Brand Development
- Design and implement hospital marketing strategies (online & offline)
- Oversee digital marketing, social media presence, Google listings, and hospital website content
- Plan promotional activities, awareness campaigns, and speciality branding
- Monitor marketing ROI and patient acquisition cost
- Ensure consistent hospital branding and reputation management
5. Human Resource & Team Leadership
- Lead, guide, and monitor doctors, nurses, paramedical, and administrative staff
- Support the HR department in recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance monitoring
- Foster a culture of accountability, discipline, and service excellence
- Address staff grievances and ensure optimal manpower utilisation.
6. Quality, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Clinical Establishment Act, NABH, fire, pollution, biomedical waste, etc.)
- Implement quality standards and patient safety protocols
- Handle patient complaints and medico-legal issues professionally
- Prepare the hospital for inspections, audits, and accreditation
7. Reporting & Management Communication
- Prepare and present periodic MIS reports on operations, revenue, patient inflow, and profitability
- Share strategic insights and improvement plans with management
- Track performance against defined goals and KPIs

Required Qualifications & Experience
- MBA / MHA / PGD in Hospital & Healthcare Management
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience as Hospital Manager / Administrator
- Proven track record of hospital growth, patient inflow improvement, and profitability
- Strong understanding of hospital operations, finance, and healthcare regulations.
