Debe Learning is an online education company providing personalized, live 1:1 learning experiences to students across international markets. We are growing our tutor community and are looking for passionate and skilled Math Tutors who enjoy working with school-age students and creating engaging online learning experiences.
About the Role
We are looking for Online Math Tutors for Grades 1–12 to conduct live, one-on-one Mathematics classes for students.
Tutors may specialize in their preferred grade-level cohort, including Grades 1–5, Grades 5–8, or Grades 8–12; teaching across the entire Grades 1–12 range is not mandatory.
Important: This role requires availability during US time-zone hours. Candidates must be available for a minimum of 3 hours between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM IST.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging 1:1 online Mathematics classes for students in Grades 1–12.
- Explain mathematical concepts clearly using age-appropriate examples and practical applications.
- Adapt teaching methods according to individual student needs and learning levels.
- Build strong rapport and maintain active student engagement throughout the session.
- Use digital whiteboards, pen tablets, quizzes, activities, and other online teaching tools effectively.
- Encourage students to participate, ask questions, and think independently.
- Provide appropriate practice, feedback, and support to help students improve.
- Maintain a positive, encouraging, and structured virtual classroom environment.
Requirements
- Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics for Grades 1–12.
- Prior online teaching or tutoring experience is preferred.
- Excellent spoken English and communication skills.
- Ability to explain mathematical concepts clearly and confidently.
- Comfortable teaching students from international backgrounds.
- Strong student engagement and rapport-building skills.
- Comfortable using digital teaching tools and online platforms.
- A stable internet connection and suitable setup for conducting online classes.
- Willingness to work during US time-zone hours.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 3 hours between 2:00 AM and 7:00 AM IST.
Compensation
- Starting at ₹320 per hour
- Additional incentives/compensation may apply based on the applicable session and demo structure.
