We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer to oversee and manage our daily on-site construction operations. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that structural projects are executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in strict accordance with architectural designs and engineering specifications.
You will serve as the primary point of contact on-site, bridging the gap between design teams, subcontractors, and project management.
Key Responsibilities1. Site Supervision & Execution
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with approved blueprints, structural drawings, and project timelines.
- Supervise subcontractors, laborers, and site surveyors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and efficient resource allocation.
- Setting out, leveling, and surveying the site before and during construction.
2. Quality Control & Testing
- Monitor the quality of materials delivered to the site and ensure they meet design specifications.
- Coordinate and oversee crucial material testing, including concrete slump tests, cube strength tests (e.g., verifying characteristic strengths like M25 or M30 grades at specified intervals), and soil compaction tests.
- Identify structural or execution discrepancies and implement immediate corrective actions.
3. Project Management & Reporting
- Maintain precise daily site logs, tracking progress, labor attendance, material consumption, and weather delays.
- Assist in preparing progress reports, billing verifications, and measurement sheets for contract variations or extra work.
- Ensure projects adhere to the agreed-upon budget and timeline, flags potential overruns early.
4. Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and occupational health and safety (OHS) standards.
- Conduct regular safety briefings and risk assessments to maintain a zero-accident site environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 0–2 years of hands-on experience in managing residential, commercial, or infrastructure construction sites.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex architectural blueprints and structural engineering drawings.
- Strong understanding of concrete technology, structural design principles, and finishing works.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving skills under pressure.
- Clear communication skills to effectively manage relationships with laborers, clients, and senior management.
Working Conditions
- This is a physically demanding role that requires spending extended periods outdoors on active construction sites.
- May require travel between multiple project locations or flexible hours to meet critical project milestones.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹38,006.69 per month
