Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented AutoCAD Designer to develop electrical and lighting layouts for residential, commercial, hospitality, and industrial building projects. The candidate will be responsible for designing efficient electrical systems based on architectural drawings, applicable standards, and client requirements. The role requires coordination with architects, consultants, project managers, and execution teams to deliver accurate, practical, and installation-ready drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical and lighting layouts based on architectural plans and project specifications.
- Prepare power outlet layouts, switch layouts, lighting layouts, and electrical distribution plans using AutoCAD.
- Select appropriate locations for lighting fixtures, switches, sockets, distribution boards, and electrical equipment.
- Design conduit routing, cable pathways, junction box locations, and equipment layouts.
- Revise drawings based on consultant comments, client feedback, and site conditions.
- Support project execution teams by resolving design-related queries during installation.
- Participate in design review meetings and provide technical recommendations for improved functionality and efficiency.
- Maintain organized project documentation, drawing revisions, and design records.
Required Skills
- Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting).
- Strong understanding of building electrical systems and lighting design principles.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical symbols, drafting standards, and wiring practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.
- Knowledge of Electrical & Lighting Layouts
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Architecture.
- AutoCAD certification is preferred.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in making 2D drawings for for building projects.
Working Conditions
- Full-time, office-based position with periodic site visits.
- May require travel to project locations for coordination and design verification.
- Flexibility to work additional hours during critical project milestones.
Pay: ₹15,500.00 - ₹22,500.00 per month
