About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Architect to support our architectural and interior design projects across all stages—from concept development to site execution. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for design, an understanding of technical services, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities both at the office and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site measurements and prepare comprehensive site reports.
- Develop layout design alternatives based on client requirements.
- Finalise layouts in coordination with the design team and clients.
- Understand and integrate design requirements for services such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire-fighting, etc.
- Prepare detailed design and working drawings for execution.
- Collate consultant layouts and ensure design consistency.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing estimates, quantity surveys, and BOQs.
- Draft tender documents and assist the Project Head in the contractor appointment processes.
- Maintain records of work orders issued to contractors.
- Assist seniors in project schedules using MS Project and revise bar charts in consultation with contractors, consultants, and clients.
- Schedule and coordinate site meetings and obtain approvals for the same.
- Monitor project timelines and quality during execution.
- Participate in and document site meetings, including drafting Minutes of Meetings when required.
- Assist in contractor bill verification and site measurements under the guidance of the Project Head.
- Provide regular updates to the Project Head / Directors on work progress.
- Oversee site administration and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, vendors, and clients.
- Document site progress using photographs and maintain proper records.
- Prepare and update weekly and monthly project status reports.
- Maintain Quality Assurance checklists for all project services (Electrical, A.C., Civil, Plumbing, Interiors, etc.).
- Support any additional tasks related to your position as assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture (B.Arch)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Twin Motion, Photoshop and knowledge of ArchiCAD is an added advantage.
- Good understanding of building services and construction detailing
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to travel to and work from project sites as needed
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
