The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting in the smooth day-to-day operations of the jewellery showroom. This includes delivering excellent customer service, achieving sales targets, supervising staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring store standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in managing daily showroom operations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and guide customers in selecting jewellery.
- Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.
- Supervise and motivate the sales team to improve performance.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and after-sales service professionally.
- Monitor inventory, stock movement, and coordinate stock audits.
- Ensure proper display, cleanliness, and security of jewellery items.
- Prepare daily sales reports, cash reconciliation, and other operational reports.
- Train new employees on product knowledge, customer service, and store policies.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, billing procedures, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and the head office when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 2–5 years of experience in jewellery retail, luxury retail, or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience in team supervision is an advantage.
