Job Overview:
We are looking for a detailed-oriented CAD Design & Drafting Executive / Interior Design Coordinator in Chennai. In this role, you will bridge the gap between creative concepts and technical execution by creating accurate working drawings and coordinating with designers, clients, and on-site teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting & Detailing: Prepare, revise, and deliver precise 2D and 3D drawings, layouts, and technical details using AutoCAD.
- Design Translation: Turn conceptual ideas from principal designers into technically accurate, production-ready blueprints.
- Technical Review: Check material finishes, modular furniture specifications, and construction methods to ensure they are practical and feasible.
- On-Site Coordination: Work closely with contractors and execution teams to make sure the original design intent is followed exactly on-site.
- Client & Stakeholder Liaison: Speak directly with clients and site supervisors to clarify technical drawings and quickly resolve any on-ground issues.
- Site Support: Conduct site visits and take precise physical measurements whenever required.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Civil Engineering.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in interior drafting or design coordination.
- Languages: Tamil or Hindi is mandatory (to communicate smoothly with on-site workers/vendors); English is preferred (for client and designer interactions).
- Software Skills: Mastery of AutoCAD (mandatory) and a working knowledge of SketchUp along with 2D/3D drafting workflows.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid practical understanding of material finishes, modular woodwork, and construction techniques.
- Location: Must be based in Chennai (candidates living near Ambattur are preferred).
