The role of an Production Chemist primarily focuses on supporting the production process in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry. While the responsibilities and duties remain consistent regardless of gender, the role entails the following core functions:
- Supporting the execution of chemical production processes and ensuring that they are carried out according to established protocols and safety standards.
- Monitoring the chemical reactions and conditions to ensure desired product quality and yield.
- Conducting routine testing and sampling of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Collaborating with the quality assurance team to implement corrective actions when quality standards are not met.
- Maintaining accurate records of production activities, batch records, test results, and any deviations or issues encountered.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety documentation requirements.
- Assisting in the proper maintenance, cleaning, and calibration of laboratory and production equipment.
- Reporting any malfunctions or issues with machinery to the maintenance team for prompt resolution.
- Identifying problems that arise during the production process and working with senior chemists or engineers to find solutions.
- Helping resolve production issues related to equipment, raw materials, or chemical reactions.
- Monitoring production batches in real-time to ensure the correct procedures are followed and production targets are met.
- Reporting any discrepancies or deviations in batch production to senior staff and suggesting improvements.
- Ensuring all production activities are performed in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Working closely with the production, R&D, and quality control teams to ensure seamless coordination between departments.

Experience: 2-5 years in production from Pharmaceutical / Medical Devices industry.
Education: BSc. Chemistry
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
