We are looking for a highly motivated and proactive Senior Specialist to join our digital workplace team as a Application Owner.
In this role, you will be responsible for central Windows workplace applications such as Adobe Acrobat, SAP GUI, and similar tools that are used by BASF employees worldwide.
You will work in an international team and act as a confident interface between internal teams, business partners, and external service providers.
You will take ownership of complex application landscapes and ensure stable, efficient, and future‑ready services across BASF.
Key Responsibilities
Application Ownership & Support :
- Advise and support BASF employees in the use of Windows workplace applications.
Analyze major incidents and recurring issues and implement sustainable, long‑term solutions within the IT landscape.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :
- Work closely with internal departments such as Procurement and Global License Management.
Provide expert input and actively contribute to, or lead, cross‑functional and international projects.

Service Provider Management :
- Coordinate and steer external service providers.
Ensure high service quality, continuous improvement, and professional complaint management.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement :
- Drive the development and introduction of new solutions and technologies together with external partners.
Identify improvement potential and proactively contribute to the digital workplace strategy.

Service & Process Excellence :
- Design, implement, and continuously optimize support and service processes.
- Monitor service performance based on agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Prepare reports and initiate improvement measures to ensure high user satisfaction.

What You Offer :
- A degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or
- At least 5 years of professional experience in a workplace or IT application environment.
- Fluent English (spoken and written).
- Strong experience in application management and IT support delivery.
- Practical knowledge of IT service management tools and frameworks, such as:
- ServiceNow
- ITIL framework
- Experience in steering external support providers, including quality management and service improvement.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a clear focus on delivering an excellent user experience.
- A self‑starter mindset with the ability to work independently.
- High motivation for continuous learning and personal development.
