Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Supervisor to oversee daily activities, coordinate staff, monitor service quality, and ensure smooth operations within the elder care facility.
The Supervisor will act as a key link between management, nursing staff, caregivers, housekeeping staff, residents, and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of nursing, caregiving, housekeeping, and support staff.
- Monitor staff attendance, shift schedules, duty allocation, and leave requirements.
- Ensure adequate staff coverage for all shifts and resident care requirements.
- Monitor the quality of care and services provided to residents.
- Regularly check residents' basic needs, comfort, cleanliness, safety, and overall well-being.
- Coordinate with nurses and caregivers regarding patient and resident care requirements.
- Address staff-related issues and resolve day-to-day operational challenges.
- Communicate important updates and concerns to the Admin Manager and management.
- Maintain daily reports, attendance records, duty schedules, incident reports, and other required documentation.
- Coordinate with families regarding routine service-related requirements and concerns.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, hygiene, cleanliness, and maintenance standards.
- Monitor availability of essential supplies, medicines, equipment, and other daily requirements.
- Report shortages, damages, incidents, or maintenance issues to the concerned department.
- Ensure staff follow organizational policies, procedures, and professional standards.
- Conduct regular rounds and monitor activities within the facility.
- Assist management in implementing new procedures and operational improvements.
- Handle emergencies appropriately and immediately inform the concerned senior staff or management.
- Maintain discipline, teamwork, and a professional working environment.
- Perform other supervisory and operational duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or relevant qualification preferred.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in supervision, administration, healthcare, elder care, hospital, nursing, or a similar service-oriented organization.
- Only experienced candidates will be considered.
- Strong leadership and staff coordination skills.
- Good Tamil and English communication skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to maintain reports and records.
- Ability to handle staff and resident-related issues professionally.
- Responsible, disciplined, patient, and service-oriented attitude.
Preferred Skills
- Previous experience in elder care, hospitals, home healthcare, nursing homes, or residential care facilities.
- Experience managing caregivers, nurses, housekeeping, or support staff.
- Knowledge of shift planning and staff scheduling.
- Good understanding of basic healthcare and patient-care procedures.
- Experience handling resident or family concerns.
- Ability to prepare daily and monthly operational reports.
- Strong interpersonal and team management skills.
