Project Cost & Procurement Controller

Salary: 1,00,000 – 12,00,000 p/a
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive Project Cost & Procurement Controller to support our team with supply chain management and purchasing activities to meet our company objectives.
Duties
- Cost Controller: Assist Project Engineers / Package Managers with preparing progress claims, inclusive but not limited to cost-control, budgeting, and forecasting practices.
- Procurement & Purchasing: Complete timely, cost-effective, and accurate procurement activities as per company authority guidelines and project-specific requirements.
- Team Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with operations and maintenance teams to ensure potential delivery delays are communicated early and escalated if required.
- Warehouse Alignment: Communicate regularly with the warehouse team to assist in effectively planning unloading operations and optimising resource utilisation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Attend and chair meetings with key internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors as required.
- Inventory & Cost Control: Monitor inventory levels, maintain accurate stock records, conduct annual stocktakes, and drive rigorous cost-control, budgeting, and forecasting practices.
- Compliance & QA: Ensure all purchasing, machinery logs, and calibrations registers and company policies.
- Values & Safety: Be open and honest, demonstrating trust and integrity in all interactions while actively promoting a safety-first culture.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Industry Experience (Essential): Proven procurement experience strictly within a heavy fabrication, engineering, project-delivery, or construction environment.
- QA Knowledge: Sound understanding of industrial sites.
- Values: A track record of demonstrating trust, integrity, and transparency in all professional interactions.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal communication and negotiation skills with the ability to lead meetings and coordinate across departments.
- Attributes: High attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and resilience in a fast-paced, high-pressure project environment.
- Systems: Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), with ERP system literacy highly regarded.
