Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated, qualified, and experienced English & Social Studies Teacher to teach CBSE students up to Class X. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, effective classroom management abilities, and a student-centred approach to teaching.
The teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in accordance with the CBSE curriculum, assessing students' academic progress, maintaining classroom discipline, and supporting the overall academic and personal development of students.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons in English and Social Studies for students up to Class X.
- Follow the prescribed CBSE curriculum, syllabus, and academic guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question papers, and other teaching-learning materials.
- Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and communication skills in English.
- Teach Social Studies concepts including History, Geography, Political Science/Civics, and Economics as applicable to the classes assigned.
- Use appropriate teaching methodologies, activities, examples, and technology to make learning effective and engaging.
- Conduct regular class tests, assessments, examinations, and other academic activities.
- Evaluate answer scripts and maintain accurate records of students' academic performance.
- Identify students' learning gaps and provide appropriate remedial support and individual attention.
- Maintain a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Encourage students to participate in discussions, presentations, projects, debates, and other co-curricular academic activities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Social Studies, or a relevant subject from a recognised university.
- B.Ed. or equivalent professional teaching qualification is preferred/required as per the applicable school requirements.
- Good knowledge of the CBSE curriculum and examination pattern up to Class X.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Proficiency in grammar, communication, and classroom presentation skills.
- Basic proficiency in using digital teaching tools, MS Office/Google Workspace, and smart-class resources is desirable.
Experience
- Prior teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience teaching Classes VI–X will be given preference.
- Freshers with excellent subject knowledge, communication skills, and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
