About the Company
We are an established marine engineering company engaged in the ownership and management of ships, with marine and industrial workshops across multiple countries. As part of our expansion, we are launching a state-of-the-art Technical Training Institute in Mumbai to develop highly skilled professionals for the marine and industrial sectors.
The institute will provide industry-oriented, practical training in Marine Electrical Systems, Automation, Instrumentation, PLC, SCADA, Industrial Maintenance, and related engineering disciplines, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industry requirements.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Administration & Operations Manager to oversee the institute's day-to-day administration and operational functions while supporting its long-term growth and success.
Administration
- Establish and implement efficient administrative policies, procedures, and operational systems.
- Manage student admissions, registrations, enrolments, and maintain accurate student records.
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with institute policies and statutory requirements.
- Supervise front office, reception, and administrative staff.
- Handle correspondence, documentation, and institute-related communications.
Operations Management
- Plan and coordinate daily operational activities of the institute.
- Schedule classrooms, laboratories, faculty, and training sessions.
- Coordinate with trainers, instructors, students, corporate clients, and management.
- Ensure smooth execution of training programs and certification courses.
- Maintain operational efficiency across all departments.
Facility & Asset Management
- Manage procurement of training equipment, office supplies, and laboratory materials.
- Oversee maintenance of classrooms, workshops, laboratories, and institute facilities.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and support.
- Maintain inventory records and ensure availability of training resources.
Financial & Administrative Coordination
- Monitor student fee collection and coordinate with the Accounts Department.
- Assist in preparing operational budgets and expenditure reports.
- Ensure timely processing of administrative requirements.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with educational regulations, health & safety standards, and statutory requirements.
- Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence.
Marketing & Business Support
- Coordinate seminars, workshops, industry visits, and technical events.
- Support student recruitment and admission campaigns.
- Assist in developing corporate partnerships and industry collaborations.
- Coordinate promotional activities with the marketing team.
Reporting
- Prepare operational reports and management updates.
- Monitor institute performance, student enrolment, attendance, and operational KPIs.
- Recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency and student experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Commerce, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Administration and Operations.
- Experience in an Educational Institution, Technical Training Centre, Engineering Organization, or Skill Development Institute is highly preferred.
- Experience in setting up or managing new operations will be an added advantage.

Salary
Negotiable and commensurate with qualifications and relevant experience.
