Cardiac Anaesthesiologist Roles and Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries, including open-heart procedures and minimally invasive cardiac interventions.
- Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic evaluations, including assessment of cardiovascular status, medical history, and surgical risk.
- Develop and implement individualized anesthesia plans based on patient condition and surgical requirements.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and hemodynamic parameters throughout surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and stability.
- Manage advanced airway techniques, invasive monitoring, vascular access, and perioperative pain management.
- Interpret and utilize Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) findings where credentialed and applicable.
- Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, perfusionists, intensivists, nursing staff, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide perioperative management for patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical procedures.
- Respond effectively to intraoperative emergencies, including cardiac arrest, massive hemorrhage, and hemodynamic instability.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, patient safety protocols, and clinical guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, anesthesia records, and procedural notes.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, continuing medical education (CME), and departmental academic activities.
- Supervise and mentor junior doctors, residents, and anesthesia technicians as appropriate.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in cardiac anesthesia and evidence-based clinical practices.
Requirements
- MD/DNB in Anaesthesiology (DM/Fellowship in Cardiac Anaesthesia preferred)
- Valid Medical Council registration.
- Experience: 0–3 years in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
- Salary starts from ₹3.5 lakh per month (Negotiable)
Pay: From ₹350,000.00 per month
