Job Summary
We are looking for a dynamic and customer-oriented Assistant Store Manager to support the overall operations of the footwear retail store. The candidate will assist in driving sales, managing staff, ensuring excellent customer service, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting daily store operations to achieve business goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer Service
- Support the Store Manager in achieving sales targets and store KPIs.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Assist customers with product selection, sizing, and promotions.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, and escalations professionally.
Store Operations
- Assist in managing day-to-day store operations.
- Ensure store cleanliness, product availability, and operational standards.
- Open and close the store as per company procedures.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and SOPs.
Team Supervision
- Supervise sales associates during shifts.
- Support staff training, coaching, and motivation.
- Help manage staff schedules, attendance, and task allocation.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Inventory Management
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment.
- Assist in stock receiving, tagging, transfers, and audits.
- Minimize inventory loss and damages.
- Ensure accurate stock records in the system.
Visual Merchandising
- Support implementation of visual merchandising standards.
- Ensure products are displayed attractively and correctly priced.
- Assist in promotional setups and seasonal displays.
Cash & Reporting
- Support billing and cash handling processes.
- Ensure accurate daily sales reconciliation.
- Prepare basic sales and inventory reports for management review.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- 2–5 years of retail experience, preferably in footwear, fashion, or lifestyle retail.
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is an advantage.
Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of inventory management and POS systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and retail software
Preferred Industry Experience
Experience in footwear and fashion retail brands such as Bata, Metro Shoes, Puma, Adidas, or Skechers is preferred.

Salary Range
depending on experience and brand
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
