Job Summary
The Child Psychologist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based psychological interventions for children and adolescents experiencing developmental, behavioral, emotional, learning, and mental health challenges. The role involves working collaboratively with families, therapists, educators, and medical professionals to develop individualized intervention plans that promote the child's overall well-being and developmental progress.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized and non-standardized assessment tools.
- Evaluate cognitive, behavioral, emotional, social, and developmental functioning.
- Prepare detailed psychological assessment reports with recommendations.
Intervention & Therapy
- Provide individual therapy sessions for children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health concerns.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, Behavior Therapy, Parent Training, and Social Skills Training.
- Monitor progress and modify intervention plans as required.
Parent & Family Counseling
- Educate and counsel parents regarding their child's psychological and developmental needs.
- Provide behavior management strategies for home implementation.
- Conduct parent guidance and psychoeducation sessions.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Special Educators, Physiotherapists, Pediatricians, and other professionals.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
- Coordinate with schools and teachers when required.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and therapy notes.
- Prepare psychological reports and progress summaries.
- Ensure confidentiality of patient information and compliance with ethical standards.
Program Development
- Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and seminars for parents, schools, and the community.
- Assist in developing child mental health and developmental programs.
Professional Development
- Stay updated with current research and best practices in child psychology.
- Participate in continuing education, training, and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Psychology with specialization in Clinical Psychology, Child Psychology, or Counseling Psychology.
- M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology / RCI Registration (preferred where applicable).
- Additional certifications in Play Therapy, CBT, ABA, or Behavior Therapy are an advantage.
Experience
- 0–5 years of experience working with children in hospitals, therapy centers, schools, rehabilitation centers, or child development clinics.
- IF FRESHERS, NEED 2 MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE IN CHILD DEVELOPMENT
- Freshers with relevant internships and strong clinical exposure may also be considered.

Salary
As per organizational standards and candidate experience.
Pay: ₹15,905.72 - ₹33,358.14 per month
