The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, security, and optimization of Linux servers and related infrastructure. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Linux administration, virtualization, scripting, networking, monitoring, and enterprise security best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (Ubuntu, RHEL Debian).
- Manage enterprise Linux infrastructure ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Administer web servers including Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat.
- Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, FTP, SSH, NFS, Samba, Mail, and Proxy services.
- Manage VMware and Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Configure and manage storage solutions, RAID, LVM, and filesystem management.
- Perform server hardening, security patching, and vulnerability remediation.
- Configure and manage firewalls (iptables, firewalld, UFW) and Linux security policies.
- Monitor servers using tools such as Zabbix, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus, or similar.
- Automate routine administration tasks using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, sudo policies, and SSH access.
- Troubleshoot system, application, network, and performance issues.
- Support Docker containers and Kubernetes environments (preferred).
- Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (preferred).
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documentation, and infrastructure diagrams.
- Collaborate with development, networking, and security teams during infrastructure deployments and upgrades.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
