1. Buyer & Client Management
· Manage relationships with existing buyers and customers.
· Understand buyer requirements, specifications, quality standards and delivery timelines.
· Handle buyer communications, queries, negotiations and follow-ups.
· Develop long-term relationships with international and domestic customers.
2. Product Development
· Coordinate development of new products based on buyer requirements and market trends.
· Work on bedsheets, duvet covers, comforters, pillow covers, bed skirts, mattress protectors and other home-textile products.
· Coordinate fabric, trims, prints, embroidery, packaging and other product requirements.
· Ensure samples are developed and submitted within timelines.
3. Costing & Pricing
· Prepare accurate product costing considering fabric, trims, stitching, finishing, packaging, freight and other costs.
· Coordinate with Purchase and Production for cost optimization.
· Support commercial negotiations with buyers.
· Maintain target margins for each order.
4. Order Execution
· Manage orders from order confirmation to shipment.
· Prepare and maintain T&A (Time & Action) calendars.
· Coordinate with Production, PPC, Quality, Purchase and Dispatch teams.
· Monitor order status and proactively identify delays or risks.
· Ensure timely shipment as per buyer commitment.
5. Production Coordination
· Coordinate with production teams to ensure specifications are followed.
· Monitor production progress against planned timelines.
· Resolve merchandising-related production issues.
· Ensure buyer-approved samples/specifications are followed during bulk production.
6. Quality & Compliance
· Ensure all products meet buyer specifications and quality standards.
· Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections and corrective actions.
· Handle buyer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
· Maintain proper documentation related to buyer requirements and approvals.
7. Documentation
· Maintain order sheets, costing sheets, sample records, approvals and buyer correspondence.
· Ensure all merchandising documentation is accurate and updated.
· Maintain shipment and order status reports.
8. Team Management
· Lead and mentor the merchandising team.
· Allocate customers/orders among merchandisers.
· Monitor individual team performance.
· Develop SOPs and improve merchandising processes.
· Train junior merchandisers on product, costing, buyer communication and order execution.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹95,000.00 per month
