Job Summary
The Legal Manager – Litigation will be responsible for managing all litigation matters of the company, providing legal support to management, coordinating with external advocates, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws. The role requires extensive experience in handling litigation, particularly in the media and publishing industry, including civil, criminal, labour, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle and manage all litigation matters involving the company before various courts, tribunals, and statutory authorities.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels and advocates for effective representation of the company.
- Draft, review, and vet legal notices, replies, pleadings, affidavits, petitions, written statements, and other legal documents.
- Monitor ongoing court cases and maintain a comprehensive litigation tracker.
- Provide legal advice to management on litigation risks and dispute resolution strategies.
- Handle matters related to defamation, copyright infringement, trademark disputes, digital content issues, and media laws.
- Represent the company before government departments, regulatory authorities, police authorities, and other statutory bodies as required.
- Support HR in labour law matters, employee disputes, disciplinary proceedings, and domestic enquiries.
- Review contracts and agreements to identify potential legal risks and recommend appropriate safeguards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, commercial, labour, intellectual property, and media laws.
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve legal issues and provide timely legal opinions.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all litigation and legal correspondence.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- Enrollment with the Bar Council is preferred.
- A Master's Degree in Law (LL.M.) will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of post-qualification experience in litigation.
- Experience in a Media, Publishing, Broadcasting, Digital Media, or Corporate organization is preferred.
- Proven experience in handling civil, criminal, labour, commercial, and intellectual property litigation.
- Experience in coordinating with senior advocates and law firms.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
