We are currently seeking a Tiles and Stones Drafting Team Leader to oversee our drafting team, drive design excellence, and contribute to the success of our custom projects.
Job Summary
As the Tiles & Stones Drafting Team Leader, you will lead and mentor a team of drafters, ensuring the delivery of accurate and detailed shop drawings for custom tile and stone projects. You will collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients, while setting quality standards, coordinating workflow, and ensuring project timelines are met with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and mentor the tiles and stones drafting team, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Oversee the preparation of shop drawings including plans, elevations, sections, and details in compliance with AWI, AWMAC, NKBA, or client-specific standards.
- Ensure drafting output meets project requirements, quality expectations, and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to maintain alignment across all stages of the design process.
- Implement best practices, standardization, and process improvements to increase drafting efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay informed on industry trends, software updates, and emerging technologies to enhance team capabilities.
- Lead client communications (calls, emails, kick-off meetings) to establish clarity, address concerns, and strengthen relationships.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve issues to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Design or a related field, with specialization in tiles and stones.
- 5–8 years of experience in tile and stone drafting/design, including at least 2–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office tools for team coordination, reporting, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for managing both internal teams and client interactions.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
