Job Title: General Manager – Projects (Civil)

Job Summary
The General Manager – Projects (Civil) will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering real estate construction projects within defined timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The role involves overseeing multiple projects, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead end-to-end execution of residential / commercial construction projects.
- Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Ensure projects are completed within timeline, cost, and quality parameters.
2. Site Management
- Supervise site teams including Project Managers, Engineers, and Contractors.
- Monitor daily construction activities and ensure adherence to project plans.
- Conduct regular site inspections and review progress reports.
3. Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, MEP consultants, and contractors.
- Work closely with procurement, CRM, sales, and finance teams.
- Handle liaison with government authorities when required.
4. Quality & Safety Compliance
- Ensure compliance with construction standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Implement quality control procedures at all stages of construction.
- Monitor safety practices at project sites.
5. Budget & Cost Control
- Track project expenses and ensure cost optimization.
- Review contractor bills, BOQs, and work orders.
- Ensure project profitability through efficient resource utilization.
6. Reporting
- Prepare periodic project progress reports for management.
- Highlight risks, delays, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain documentation for project approvals and audits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E / B.Tech Civil)
- Master’s Degree / MBA in Construction Management (Preferred)
Experience
- 15–20 years of experience in construction / real estate projects.
- Minimum 5 years in a senior project leadership role.
- Experience handling large residential or commercial projects.
