JOB TITLE: Finance Head / Finance Controller / CFO
ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
Rungta Institute of Technology and Management (RITM) is a
premier technical institution based in Forbesganj, Bihar,
operating under a registered trust. The institution is
committed to delivering quality technical education and
operates with full trust governance, statutory compliance,
and CSR accountability frameworks.
ROLE SUMMARY
We are looking for a senior finance professional to serve
as the Finance Head for RITM. This is an oversight and
control role — not a day-to-day bookkeeping position.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the
institution's books are complete, accurate, and compliant
at all times, overseeing all financial functions, managing
fund utilisation and CSR compliance, and providing
meaningful financial reporting to the trust leadership.
QUALIFICATION
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance preferred
- Semi-qualified CA / CMA with strong relevant experience
will be considered
- Qualification is secondary to demonstrated competence
and integrity
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum 5 years in finance, accounts, or audit
- Experience in trust, NGO, educational institution, or
any regulated/compliance-heavy environment preferred
- Candidates with manufacturing, CA firm, or corporate
finance backgrounds also welcome if compliance exposure
is strong
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Oversight & Control
- Ensure books of accounts are maintained accurately,
completely, and up to date at all times
- Review and sign off on month-end closing, ledger
scrutiny, and trial balance
- Oversee all financial transactions — salary disbursements,
vendor payments, petty cash, bank operations — and ensure
proper authorisation and documentation
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Own all reconciliations — bank, vendor, interledger,
and fund-wise
- Prepare and present periodic financial reports to trust
management — MIS, income & expenditure, fund position
- Ensure financial statements are prepared as per
applicable standards and submitted on time
Compliance & Statutory
- Ensure TDS deduction, payment, and return filing
is done correctly and on time
- Oversee GST compliance wherever applicable
- Coordinate with auditors — statutory and internal —
and ensure audit closure without major observations
- Manage income tax filings for the trust entity
- Ensure ROC / trust registration compliance and
any regulatory filings are current
CSR & Fund Utilisation Compliance
- Monitor and account for CSR funds received — ensure
proper utilisation as per designated purpose
- Maintain fund-wise accounts and prepare utilisation
certificates as required by donors or trust board
- Flag any variance between sanctioned and actual
utilisation to leadership immediately
Coordination & Leadership
- Oversee and guide the accounts team — ensure they
are working to correct processes and deadlines
- Liaise with bankers, CA firm, legal advisors, and
regulatory bodies on behalf of the institution
- Implement financial controls, SOPs, and checklists
to prevent errors and irregularities
KEY SKILLS REQUIRED
- Strong understanding of trust / NGO accounting
and compliance
- TDS, GST, Income Tax — working knowledge mandatory
- Tally or any accounting ERP — operational proficiency
- Bank reconciliation and fund tracking
- Audit coordination and closure
- MS Excel — working knowledge for MIS and reporting
- High integrity, attention to detail, and ability
to flag issues proactively
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
