Key ResponsibilitiesPre-Operative Responsibilities
- Prepare the Neurosurgery OT before every surgical procedure.
- Ensure all neurosurgical instruments, implants, microscopes, drills, endoscopes, navigation systems, and specialized equipment are available and functioning properly.
- Arrange sterile instrument trays according to the surgical procedure.
- Perform daily equipment checks and report any malfunction immediately.
- Verify patient identity, consent, operative site, and required investigations as per hospital protocol.
- Assist in patient positioning according to the surgical procedure while ensuring pressure point protection.
- Maintain strict aseptic techniques during OT preparation.
Intra-Operative Responsibilities
- Assist the surgeon during neurosurgical procedures.
- Handle and pass sterile instruments efficiently.
- Operate and assist with:
- Operating Microscope
- High-Speed Neuro Drill
- Bipolar Cautery
- Cranial Fixation System (Mayfield Clamp)
- Neuronavigation System
- Endoscopic Equipment
- C-Arm (where applicable)
- Prepare and manage sutures, implants, clips, and surgical consumables.
- Monitor instrument counts with scrub nurse.
- Maintain sterility throughout the procedure.
- Assist in specimen collection and labeling.
- Respond promptly during emergency situations.
Post-Operative Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and prepare OT after surgery.
- Segregate biomedical waste according to hospital policy.
- Send instruments for cleaning and sterilization (CSSD).
- Check all equipment after surgery.
- Document instrument usage and implant records.
- Prepare OT for the next scheduled procedure
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
