We are looking for a Senior Engineer / Assistant Manager, Sourcing, to join our screening product team in Alwar Plant Procurement organization. In this role, you will manage strategic and operational sourcing activities across key commodities while ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted supply to production. You will play a key role in strengthening supplier partnerships and driving localisation and vendor development initiatives. You will report to the Manager, Sourcing.
This role is based in Alwar, India, and this role requires travel.
What you’ll do
Manage sourcing activities across key commodities such as casting, forging, machining, raw materials, and metal fabrication
Float enquiries (RFQs), analyse quotations, and conduct cost comparisons
Lead supplier negotiations to achieve competitive pricing and commercial terms
Convert purchase requisitions into purchase orders in SAP
Ensure timely delivery of materials aligned with production plans
Drive localisation and vendor development initiatives
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Design, PPC, Quality, Production) to ensure uninterrupted supply
Optimise raw material utilisation through efficient nesting of parts
What you’ll bring
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production Engineering or related field
5–8 years of experience in sourcing, preferably in casting, forging and machining
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, technical drawings, and material specifications
Solid experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel
Proven negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams
Good understanding of raw materials such as steel plates, round bars, hollow sections and structural materials
Nice to have: knowledge of AutoCAD and nesting techniques
