Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily manufacturing activities, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining product quality, safety, and compliance with ISO 13485 requirements. The role involves managing production operators, monitoring manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day production activities to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Monitor manpower allocation and ensure optimum utilization of resources.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, Good Documentation Practices (GDP), and company quality procedures.
- Coordinate production activities with Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Maintenance, Stores, and Planning departments.
- Monitor production processes and identify opportunities for process improvements.
- Ensure production is carried out as per approved work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain production records, batch documentation, and shift reports accurately.
- Monitor productivity, rejection rates, and machine utilization.
- Conduct line clearance before production and ensure proper documentation.
- Train and guide production operators on manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Ensure adherence to 5S, EHS, and cleanroom discipline where applicable.
- Investigate production issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Minimize material wastage and improve production efficiency.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) and process validation activities.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of medical device manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of ISO 13485, GMP, and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
- Knowledge of production planning and process control.
- Ability to lead production teams and manage shop-floor activities.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production reporting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in cleanroom manufacturing environments.
- Exposure to extrusion, catheter assembly, molding, bonding, tipping, or medical tubing manufacturing is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Salary
₹25,000 – ₹35,000 per month (Based on experience, technical knowledge, and interview performance)
