About the Opportunity
A US-based technology company is hiring engineers in Mumbai to work on the development of a next-generation immersive entertainment headset.
The engineering team will work from the Fun Republic area, Andheri West, Mumbai, developing an advanced consumer hardware product combining immersive displays, optics, electronics, sensors, spatial audio, embedded systems and streaming technologies.
We are looking for young engineers who are excited about building physical technology products from the ground up. Fresh graduates with exceptional college, are strongly encouraged to apply.
What You Will Work On
You will help take an immersive headset through:
Hardware Architecture → Component Selection → Testing → EVT → DVT → PVT → Pilot Manufacturing
Key Responsibilities
Help define complete headset hardware requirements and architecture.
Evaluate XR processors, displays, optics, batteries, cameras, sensors and audio components.
Research and evaluate ready-made XR reference platforms.
Evaluate OEM/ODM partners and component suppliers.
Maintain the headset Bill of Materials (BOM).
Compare components based on performance, cost, availability, MOQ and lead time.
Participate in hands-on prototype development and assembly.
Coordinate electronics, embedded, mechanical, optics and software engineering.
Participate in battery, thermal, display, tracking, audio and connectivity validation.
Document hardware specifications, engineering decisions and design changes.
Coordinate with manufacturing vendors during prototype and pilot production.
Support EVT, DVT and PVT development.
Skills We Are Looking For
Strong electronics/electrical/mechatronics fundamentals
Understanding of consumer-electronics architecture
Basic knowledge of PCB and embedded systems
Understanding of sensors, displays, batteries and electronic components
Hardware troubleshooting ability
Strong research and documentation skills
Problem-solving mindset
Ability to learn technologies outside your primary engineering discipline

Professional XR experience is not mandatory.

About the Opportunity
A US-based technology company is building an engineering team in Mumbai to develop a next-generation immersive entertainment headset.
We are looking for an Electronics & Embedded Engineer who wants to work hands-on with the electronics inside an advanced XR device.
This is not purely a software or theoretical electronics position. You will work with real hardware, processor boards, displays, cameras, sensors, batteries, PCBs and test equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Electronics Integration
Integrate XR processor/reference boards.
Integrate display modules and associated electronics.
Integrate cameras, IMUs, accelerometers, gyroscopes and other sensors.
Integrate speakers, microphones and audio electronics.
Work with battery packs, charging and power-management systems.
Support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth integration.
Embedded Systems
Work with interfaces and protocols including:
I2C SPI UART USB GPIO MIPI
Support device initialization and hardware control.
Develop/support hardware diagnostics.
Support firmware flashing and device provisioning.
Develop factory hardware test utilities.
Assist with embedded firmware development.
PCB & Hardware Development
Assist with schematic design and review.
Assist with PCB development and validation.
Work with PCB/PCBA manufacturing vendors.
Debug electrical and hardware-interface problems.
Support development of custom interface/daughter boards where required.
Hardware Testing & Debugging
Use engineering tools including:
Digital multimeter
Oscilloscope
Logic analyzer
Bench power supply
Soldering/rework station
USB debugging tools
Thermal measurement equipment
You will investigate real engineering problems such as:
Why isn't the display working?Why isn't a sensor detected?Why is the battery draining quickly?Why is the device overheating?Why does the headset restart under load?Why isn't a camera communicating with the processor?
Manufacturing Support
Help develop a repeatable factory process:
You will work with the manufacturing and QA teams as the product moves from prototype to pilot manufacturing.
