Job Description
We are looking for a Cyber Security Analyst Intern who is eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations. The intern will assist in monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and supporting incident response activities.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts, logs, and system activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing
- Identify and analyze potential security threats and incidents
- Support SOC and incident response operations
- Assist with web, network, and endpoint security testing
- Perform basic log analysis and threat investigation
- Help maintain security documentation and reports
- Work with senior analysts on remediation and security improvements
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and attack vectors
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS)
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Exposure to tools such as Burp Suite, Wireshark, Metasploit, or similar
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and basic security principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, Wazuh, ELK, etc.)
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
- Exposure to SOC operations or VAPT projects
- Cybersecurity coursework, certifications, or personal projects
