Job Overview:
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional Captains to join our front-of-house team. As a Captain, you will be the first point of contact for our customers and play a key role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience. You will be responsible for supervising waitstaff, housekeeping, hosts, guiding customers through the ordering process, assisting in takeaways and ensuring that the service meets our high standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service Excellence: Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a warm and professional first impression. Provide outstanding service throughout the dining experience to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Order Management: Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring correct delivery and addressing any special requests or dietary requirements. Communicate orders clearly to the kitchen and staff.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and guide waitstaff in daily operations, ensuring that service is efficient, timely, and meets the company’s standards. Provide leadership and support to junior staff during shifts.
- Table Management: Manage the seating and rotation of guests, ensuring a smooth flow of service and that all guests are attended to promptly. Assist with managing the reservation system and walk-ins.
- Menu Knowledge: Have a thorough knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and beverages. Be able to make recommendations to guests and answer questions regarding the menu.
- Quality Control: Ensure the presentation and quality of food and drinks served meet the restaurant’s standards. Assist with clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Complaint Resolution: Address customer concerns or complaints professionally, resolving issues in a calm and effective manner to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Cash Handling & Billing: Assist with order billing, ensuring accuracy when processing payments and handling cash transactions. Ensure that customers are provided with the correct bill and that payments are processed smoothly.
- Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that all health, safety, and sanitation standards are met, following hygiene and food safety regulations.
- Shift Management: Report to the Restaurant Manager or Assistant Outlet Manager for daily briefings and assist with the coordination of the team.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in an established restaurant or hotel. Experience in the QSR model and South Indian cuisine is a plus.
- Education: A diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or related field is preferred but not required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as strong leadership abilities and team management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in POS systems and basic cash handling.
- Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene standards.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.

- Meals: On-duty meals provided, cooked by the staff.
