Job Summary
The Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all vehicles serviced in the workshop meet the dealership's quality standards before delivery to customers. The role involves conducting final inspections, verifying repair quality, checking adherence to manufacturer guidelines, and ensuring customer satisfaction through defect-free vehicle delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct final quality inspection of vehicles after service and repairs.
- Verify that all customer complaints have been resolved effectively.
- Ensure repairs are completed as per manufacturer and dealership standards.
- Perform road tests (where applicable) to confirm repair quality.
- Inspect vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper washing before delivery.
- Check all repair orders and ensure work performed matches the job card.
- Identify any missed repairs, defects, or workmanship issues and report them to the Workshop Supervisor.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and safety systems before vehicle delivery.
- Verify that genuine spare parts have been used where applicable.
- Coordinate with Service Advisors, Technicians, and Floor Supervisors to resolve quality concerns.
- Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports.
- Monitor repeat repairs and recommend corrective actions to reduce recurrence.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer quality processes and dealership SOPs.
- Support internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote workplace safety and maintain 5S standards in the workshop.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma/ITI/B.Tech in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in an automobile service workshop or dealership.
- Experience in quality inspection of passenger or commercial vehicles is preferred.
- Valid driving license (preferred).

- First-Time-Right (FTR) percentage.
- Reduction in repeat repair cases.

- Number of quality defects detected before vehicle delivery.
- On-time completion of vehicle quality inspections.
- Compliance with workshop SOPs and safety standards.
Working Conditions
- Work is primarily performed in an automobile service workshop.
- May require standing for extended periods and conducting vehicle road tests.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as per safety guidelines.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
