Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Business Consultancy Firm
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic, execution-focused, and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the day-to-day operations of our growing business consultancy firm. The COO will work closely with the Founder to drive operational excellence, scale the business, improve client experience, and build high-performing teams.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys solving complex business challenges, building systems, leading people, and turning strategy into execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the firm's daily operations across all departments.
- Develop and implement operational strategies that support business growth.
- Build scalable systems, processes, and SOPs to improve efficiency.
- Monitor key business metrics, profitability, and operational performance.
- Drive project execution and ensure timely delivery of client engagements.
- Coordinate with department heads to achieve business objectives.
- Improve productivity, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Establish performance management systems and KPIs across teams.
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure exceptional client service and long-term relationship management.
- Lead change management and organizational development initiatives.
- Support business expansion, new service launches, and strategic partnerships.
- Manage budgets, resource planning, and operational risk.
- Foster a high-performance, ownership-driven, and growth-oriented culture.
Requirements
- Proven leadership experience in operations, business consulting, professional services, or a similar industry.
- Strong understanding of business strategy, finance, operations, and organizational management.
- Experience in scaling businesses and building operational systems.
- Excellent decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with leadership teams and driving organizational growth.
- MBA, CA, CMA, CS, or equivalent business qualification is preferred but not mandatory for the right candidate.
