Job Title:
TGT English Teacher (Grades 9 & 10)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated English Teacher to handle Grades 9 and 10. The candidate should be able to deliver engaging lessons, develop students’ reading, writing, and communication skills, and prepare them for board examinations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver English lessons in accordance with the curriculum
- Teach grammar, literature, prose, poetry, and writing skills effectively
- Prepare students for board exams with proper guidance and practice
- Develop lesson plans, worksheets, and assessment materials
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, and evaluations
- Maintain student records including attendance and academic progress
- Encourage classroom participation and interactive learning
- Provide individual attention to students where required
- Participate in school meetings, training sessions, and events
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment in the classroom
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong command over English language (spoken and written)
- Good classroom management skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to engage and motivate students
- Knowledge of board syllabus (CBSE/State Board/ICSE)
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, online teaching tools)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English (B.A. English)
- B.Ed. is mandatory
- Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience (preferably Grades 9 & 10)
Preferred:
- Experience in handling board exam classes
- Familiarity with modern teaching methods and digital tools
