Senior Medical Writer

Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month (Based on Experience & Performance)
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Medical Writer with a strong background in academic and scientific writing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing high-quality research manuscripts, review articles, scientific publications, and other publication-ready content. The role requires close collaboration with researchers, clinicians, and editorial teams to ensure scientific accuracy, publication compliance, and timely delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Medical & Scientific Writing
- Develop high-quality research papers, review articles, manuscripts, white papers, and other scientific publications.
- Convert complex scientific and medical information into clear, accurate, and publication-ready content.
- Ensure all documents comply with journal and publication requirements.
Literature Research
- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews using databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and ResearchGate.
- Analyze scientific and clinical data to support research publications.
- Summarize research findings accurately and effectively.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with publication ethics and international guidelines, including ICMJE and COPE.
- Review and edit scientific content for accuracy, grammar, consistency, formatting, and quality.
- Maintain high standards across all deliverables.
Collaboration & Publication Support
- Collaborate with researchers, healthcare professionals, and editorial teams throughout the publication process.
- Assist with manuscript submission and publication activities.
- Coordinate with journals and academic institutions when required.
Mentoring & Team Support
- Guide and mentor junior medical writers on scientific writing best practices.
- Share expertise on publication standards, research methodologies, and scientific communication.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's, Master's, PharmD, M.Pharm, M.Sc., PhD, MBBS, BDS, or an equivalent qualification in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Certification in Medical Writing is an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Medical Writing, Scientific Writing, or Academic Publication.
- Prior experience publishing manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of medical and scientific terminology.
- Excellent scientific writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in literature search databases such as PubMed, Scopus, and ResearchGate.
- Experience with reference management tools such as EndNote or Mendeley.
- Familiarity with journal submission systems and publication workflows.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Work Schedule
- Monday to Saturday: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Second Saturday: Off
- Additional working hours may be required during critical project deadlines.
