## Job Summary
The Horticulture Supervisor is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the hotel's landscaped areas, gardens, lawns, indoor plants, and outdoor green spaces. The role ensures that all horticultural areas are aesthetically pleasing, well-maintained, and aligned with the hotel's luxury and environmental standards.
## Key Responsibilities
* Supervise the maintenance of gardens, lawns, flower beds, shrubs, trees, and indoor plants.
* Plan and execute seasonal plantation, landscaping, pruning, watering, fertilization, and pest control activities.
* Monitor plant health and take preventive and corrective measures against diseases and pests.
* Ensure irrigation systems are functioning efficiently and coordinate repairs when required.
* Lead, train, and supervise gardeners and horticulture staff, assigning daily tasks and monitoring performance.
* Maintain cleanliness and visual appeal of all landscaped areas across the hotel premises.
* Coordinate with Engineering, Housekeeping, and other departments for landscaping-related requirements during events and special occasions.
* Monitor inventory of plants, fertilizers, tools, equipment, and gardening supplies.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Maintain records of maintenance schedules, plant inventory, and consumption of horticultural materials.
* Suggest innovative landscaping ideas to improve the hotel's aesthetic appeal and sustainability initiatives.
## Qualifications
* Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, or a related field.
* Certification in horticulture or landscape management will be an added advantage.
## Experience
* 3–5 years of experience in horticulture, landscaping, or garden maintenance.
* Minimum 1–2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in hotels, resorts, luxury residential properties, or commercial establishments.
## Required Skills
* Strong knowledge of ornamental plants, trees, flowers, turf management, and plant care.
* Understanding of irrigation systems, fertilizers, pest management, and landscaping techniques.
* Leadership and team management skills.
* Good planning, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
* Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records and reports.
* Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
## Preferred Competencies
* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high aesthetic standards.
* Knowledge of sustainable landscaping and water conservation practices.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
## Reporting To
Chief Engineer / Engineering Manager / Facility Manager (as per hotel structure)
Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹46,000.00 per month
