The Salvage Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and optimizing salvage operations to maximize recovery and value from scrap, surplus, and obsolete materials. The role includes identifying salvageable assets, evaluating their condition, and ensuring timely disposal through approved channels. The candidate will coordinate with operations, maintenance, stores, procurement, and finance teams to ensure efficient salvage management and compliance with company policies. Responsibilities include monitoring salvage inventory, supervising dismantling and recycling activities, negotiating with buyers and vendors, maintaining proper documentation, and ensuring statutory and environmental compliance. The Salvage Manager will prepare periodic MIS reports, monitor revenue generated from salvage activities, implement cost-saving and waste reduction initiatives, and ensure safe handling, storage, and transportation of scrap materials. The role also involves leading the salvage team, managing contractors, conducting periodic audits, and ensuring transparency in disposal processes. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership, analytical, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, along with proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems.
A Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mining, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline with 8–12 years of relevant experience in salvage management, asset recovery, scrap disposal, or mining/heavy equipment operations is required.
