Job Summary
Operate cylindrical grinding machines to grind and finish metal components according to engineering drawings and quality standards. Ensure dimensional accuracy, maintain machine performance, and follow all safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines.
- Read and understand engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Select and mount grinding wheels and workpieces.
- Measure components using micrometers, vernier calipers, and dial gauges.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish as per specifications.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Inspect finished components and report any quality issues.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain workplace housekeeping (5S).
- Record production and inspection details as required.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of cylindrical grinding operations.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.
- Basic machine maintenance knowledge.
- Good attention to detail and quality focus.
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter/Turner/Machinist) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in cylindrical grinding operations preferred.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
