Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and proactive Surveillance Operator to join our dynamic security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring various security systems, including CCTV cameras and security alarms, to ensure the safety and integrity of our facilities. Your keen eye for detail and quick response capabilities will help prevent theft, fraud, and other security breaches. Duties
- Operate and monitor CCTV systems, security alarms, and surveillance equipment to oversee the premises continuously.
- Conduct real-time surveillance monitoring to identify suspicious activities or security threats.
- Respond promptly to security alerts or incidents by coordinating with internal teams or law enforcement as necessary.
- Maintain detailed logs of surveillance activities, incidents, and any irregularities observed during shifts.
- Communicate effectively with team members via internal communication channels to report issues or request assistance.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or fraudulent activities within the facility.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports documenting incidents, observations, and actions taken during each shift.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or surveillance roles is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV system operation (AV), security system monitoring, and technical proficiency in using surveillance software.
- Strong communication skills for effective internal communication and phone-based interactions.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for report writing and incident documentation.
- Excellent observation skills combined with conflict management abilities to handle tense situations professionally.
- Experience with dispatching or call center operations is a plus, demonstrating quick decision-making under pressure.
- Demonstrated writing skills for detailed incident reporting and record keeping.
