Job Title: Transport Manager – Quartz Procurement & LogisticsJob Summary
We are looking for a proactive Transport Manager to oversee the sourcing, procurement, and transportation of quartz stones from multiple locations across Assam. The role involves identifying reliable suppliers and transporters, negotiating freight rates, ensuring timely dispatches, and maintaining a consistent supply of raw materials to our facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and onboard reliable quartz suppliers and transport contractors across Assam.
- Arrange and procure trucks on a daily/weekly basis to meet transportation requirements.
- Negotiate competitive transportation rates and supplier terms.
- Coordinate loading, dispatch, and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Track shipments and resolve transportation or logistics issues promptly.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers, transporters, and local stakeholders.
- Monitor transportation costs and optimize logistics efficiency.
- Maintain records of dispatches, deliveries, freight bills, and transporter payments.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Strong network of truck operators and transporters in Assam is preferred.
- Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple suppliers and transportation routes simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic logistics documentation.
- Willingness to travel extensively across Assam as required.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
