Job Summary:
The Public Relations Officer (PRO) in the medical field is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the hospital’s image, building strong relationships with patients, doctors, consultants, corporate clients, and referral sources, and ensuring smooth communication between the hospital and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient & Attender Relations
- Handle patient queries, concerns, and grievances in a professional manner.
- Ensure patient satisfaction and smooth admission/discharge process.
- Coordinate with medical and nursing staff for resolving issues.
2. Referral & Doctor Coordination
- Maintain strong relationships with referring doctors, clinics, and hospitals.
- Visit referral doctors regularly to strengthen professional ties.
- Promote hospital services and specialties.
3. Corporate & Institutional Relations
- Develop and maintain tie-ups with corporates, TPAs, insurance companies, and organizations.
- Coordinate for corporate health check-ups and medical camps.
4. Marketing & Promotional Activities
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns and health awareness programs.
- Organize medical camps, seminars, and community outreach programs.
- Represent the hospital at events and networking meetings.
5. Communication & Branding
- Ensure positive public image of the hospital.
- Handle public feedback and coordinate responses.
- Support social media and promotional initiatives in coordination with the marketing team.
6. Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain database of referrals, corporates, and outreach activities.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly activity reports.
- Track conversion and referral performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Hospital Administration, or related field.
- Experience: 2–5 years in hospital/healthcare marketing or PRO role preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Presentable personality with professional approach.
- Good networking and relationship-building skills.
