Job Title: Junior ABA Therapist (Fresher)

Role Objective
Newdawn Center, Sarjapur, Bangalore is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Fresher ABA Therapist to join our team. In this role, you will provide one-on-one therapy to individuals (primarily children) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental delays. You will work directly under the mentorship and supervision of a Certified QBA, implementing evidence-based behavioral intervention plans to improve communication, social, and daily living skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Therapy Implementation: Execute individualized Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and Skill Acquisition Plans designed by the supervising QBA.
- Data Collection: Accurately record real-time data on client progress during sessions using digital tools or manual logs (e.g., frequency, duration, and ABC data).
- Session Preparation: Prepare instructional materials, reinforcers, and the environment before each therapy session.
- Collaborative Care: Participate in weekly supervision meetings with the QBA to review client progress, adjust techniques, and receive feedback.
- Family Interaction: Provide brief, professional updates to parents or caregivers at the end of sessions regarding the day’s goals and progress.
- Professional Ethics: Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethics regarding client-therapist boundaries and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: * Graduate or Post-Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work (MSW), or Education is highly preferred.
- Open to all streams: We welcome fresh graduates from any field who demonstrate a strong passion for child development and behavioral science.
- Experience: None required (Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided).
- Skills:
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English and [Local Language, e.g., Hindi/Kannada].
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Physical stamina to engage in play-based therapy (sitting on the floor, moving quickly with a child).
