Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Manager to lead the finance and accounting functions of our jewellery business. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete accounting cycle, financial reporting, statutory compliance, inventory accounting, and coordinating with Chartered Accountants (CA) and Company Secretaries (CS) for audits and regulatory compliance. The candidate should possess strong analytical, leadership, and problem-solving skills while ensuring financial accuracy and compliance with applicable laws.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end accounting operations independently.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, and Final Accounts.
- Maintain day-to-day accounting transactions in Tally Prime/ERP.
- Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances, ensuring timely filing and payment.
- Coordinate with Chartered Accountant (CA) for statutory audit, tax audit, financial statements, and annual account finalization.
- Coordinate with Company Secretary (CS) for ROC filings, corporate compliance, board resolutions, statutory records, and other regulatory matters.
- Manage jewellery inventory accounting, stock valuation, and inventory reconciliation across branches/showrooms.
- Monitor purchase, sales, manufacturing, and stock movement accounting.
- Perform bank reconciliations, cash flow monitoring, and fund management.
- Prepare MIS reports, profitability analysis, budgeting, and financial dashboards for management.
- Prepare financial projections, budgets, cash flow forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor receivables, payables, and working capital efficiently.
- Ensure proper internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures are followed.
- Supervise and guide the accounts team to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
- Liaise with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and government authorities whenever required.
- Support management in financial planning, business expansion, and strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and statutory regulations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and cost optimization.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial data and company information.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in jewellery industry accounting.
- Strong experience in Balance Sheet preparation and finalization.
- Thorough knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliance.
- Hands-on experience in Tally Prime and MS Excel (Advanced Excel preferred).
- Good understanding of jewellery inventory management and stock accounting.
- Experience in audit coordination with CA and compliance coordination with CS.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple responsibilities.

Salary is not a constraint for the right candidate and will be discussed based on the candidate's skills, experience, knowledge, and overall competency.
