1. Daily Operations & Route Management
- Plan, optimize, and supervise bus routes, time schedules, and designated pick-up/drop-off points.
- Monitor real-time GPS tracking systems and CCTV feeds to address delays, traffic hold-ups, or route deviations promptly.
- Coordinate daily deployment of buses, drivers, and attendants. [1, 2, 3]
2. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with regional transport regulations, RTO guidelines, and school safety policies.
- Verify that all drivers hold valid heavy-vehicle licenses, badges, and completed police verifications.
- Check that mandatory safety gear (speed governors, first-aid boxes, fire extinguishers, and emergency exits) is fully functional on every vehicle. [1, 2, 3]
3. Vehicle Maintenance & Fleet Upkeep
- Schedule routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and periodic fitness inspections.
- Maintain active documentation including vehicle registration, insurance papers, Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificates, and road permits.
- Monitor fuel consumption logs for efficiency and cost optimization. [1, 2]
4. Staff Supervision & Training
- Supervise bus drivers, conductors, and attendants regarding discipline, punctuality, and dress code.
