About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented SOC Analyst to join our Security Operations Center (SOC) team. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating incidents, analyzing logs, and ensuring timely detection and response to cybersecurity threats. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, hands-on experience with SIEM tools, and a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security events, alerts, dashboards, and reports through SIEM platforms.
- Analyze and investigate security incidents to identify malicious activities and potential threats.
- Perform incident triage, validation, escalation, and follow-up as per defined SLAs.
- Monitor and analyze logs from Windows systems, security tools, and network devices.
- Investigate suspicious activities using SIEM, EDR, Microsoft 365, and other security solutions.
- Analyze network traffic using tools such as Wireshark to identify anomalies and security threats.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams for incident resolution and remediation.
- Escalate critical incidents to relevant stakeholders and ensure timely closure.
- Monitor the health and performance of security monitoring tools and platforms.
- Assist SOC team members in incident detection, response, and threat investigation activities.
- Maintain proper documentation, incident records, and MIS reports.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance SOC processes and security posture.
Required Qualifications
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications will be an added advantage.
Preferred Certifications
- CompTIA Security+
- Cisco Certified CyberOps Associate
- Blue Team Level 1 (BTL1)
- CCDL1 (Certified Cyber Defender)
- Any hands-on certification demonstrating expertise in:
