You'll lead the camera and visual direction for the studio's reels, shorts, and podcast episodes — owning shot composition, lighting, and multi-camera setups. You'll also mentor junior camera operators and help set the visual standard across all shoots.
What You'll Do
- Independently plan and execute camera setups for reels, shorts, and podcast episodes
- Own lighting design, framing, and multi-camera coordination for shoots
- Set and maintain the studio's visual/cinematic style across content
- Collaborate with anchors, writers, and producers from concept to shoot
- Mentor and guide junior cinematographers/interns on shoot days
- Troubleshoot technical/lighting issues in real time during live recordings
- Stay ahead of visual trends across Instagram, YouTube, and podcast formats
- Manage equipment planning and shoot-day logistics
Who We're Looking For
- Advanced proficiency operating DSLR/mirrorless/cinema cameras and lighting setups
- Strong visual storytelling instincts — knows how to make a frame worth watching
- Solid grasp of multi-camera podcast/interview shoot setups
- Proven track record shooting high-performing reels/shorts or podcast content
- Ability to lead a camera/production team and manage shoot-day logistics
- Highly organized, calm under pressure, and comfortable with a high shoot volume
Nice to Have
- Experience shooting for a podcast studio, media house, or content agency
- Knowledge of color grading basics or close collaboration with editors
- Experience managing a camera/production team
- A strong portfolio or showreel with varied shoot styles (reels, podcast, interviews)
